It’s a beautiful day here in Ohio. The sun is shining and  I can hear birds singing beautiful songs . The sky is so clear and it looks incredibly beautiful.  It is a very different day from the other ones we had in the past 3 months. We were so used to piling on sweaters and if feels so good being outside with no jackets.

I am so grateful, not only for the beautiful weather – but for the one whose throne is above that clear blue sky.

If I could count all my blessings I would run out of numbers. For I am truly blessed. And so are you!We might not be the prettiest, tallest, richest or wisest people to ever live , but we are who are for a purpose; and for that we ought to be truly grateful.

I am thankful for the fact that I can breathe effortlessly, I do not need any oxygen tank or any special machine to do so . I am thankful that I can walk. I am thankful for the fact that I can write, sing, talk, praise, walk, jump, see and many other blessings. I know for sure there is nothing in this world that I did, to earn or deserve all those things. There is nothing I could have ever done to earn them all. The LORD gave them freely. They are a special gift which I do not take that lightly.

And yet, if He were to take my ability to see, walk, or talk or anything else, I would still acknowledge him as my LORD and savior. He is the one who gives and takes accordingly. My joy and peace comes from the assurance that he gives me in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Yes it is painful when I lose that which I value greatly. It is extremely hard to accept that fate. But one thing I know for sure is that ,whether I do understand what He is working on in any season of my life or not, He is still God! Because He is God , His plans for me are never to harm me (for disaster ) but they are always for my good.

Today, I ask you to join me as I praise His Holy name for all the good that he has done in OUR lives.  Sing Him a new song. Praise Him with Psalms and Hymns. Sing a joyful song unto Him. And praise His Holy name, for He is good.  Rejoice in the LORD and be glad! Rejoice,  I say Rejoice !

Well written, we so quickly forget how blessed we are and being reminded to live a life of gratitude and praise is so important. Thank you for the reminder!
